His Excellency Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism of Cambodia, met with Mr.Li Jun, Chairman of the Central Foreign Economic Group, and his delegation. The two sides held in-depth discussions on Cambodia's tourism development potential, the establishment of a talent training system, and pathways for Sino-Cambodian vocational education cooperation.
Chairman Li Jun stated that the company is committed to participating in the cultivation of tourism talent and enhancing the quality of professional tourism training in Cambodia. Through collaboration with the Vocational Tourism School under the Ministry of Tourism and relevant educational institutions in China, the company aims to jointly promote the development of tourism human resources in Cambodia, contribute to the sustainable development of the tourism industry, and achieve the goals of improving tourism service quality and strengthening the international competitiveness of Cambodia's tourism sector.
In this regard, Minister Huot Hak expressed high appreciation and gratitude for the Central Foreign Economic Group's proactive support for Cambodia's tourism development and human resources training initiatives, emphasizing that these efforts are crucial for enhancing tourism service quality to meet international standards and strengthening the competitiveness of Cambodia's tourism sector.

Under the framework of the signed Memorandum of Understanding, both parties have explicitly committed to advancing five key areas of cooperation—joint mechanism development, platform collaboration, resource sharing, standardization coordination, and cultural exchange—guided by the principle of "co-creation, co-construction, and shared benefits" with the aim of supporting the digital and intelligent transformation of Cambodia's tourism sector.
The collaborative projects currently underway between the Central Foreign Economic Group, China universities, and the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism have been successfully launched: Yantai College of Early Childhood Education signed a Memorandum of Understanding with VST in March 2026 to jointly establish tourism-related multimedia programs, which has now entered the next phase of implementation. Guangxi International Business Vocational College plans to sign an agreement with the Royal Cambodian School of Tourism (VST) for a smart cultural tourism project, with completion and implementation expected by September 2026. These initiatives mark the entry of the China-Cambodia "university-industry collaboration" model into a substantive operational stage.
According to the plan, both parties will complete platform development and curriculum design within 1–2 years, release new vocational standards for Cambodia's cultural tourism sector within 3–5 years, and establish a replicable cooperation model within five years, thereby comprehensively advancing in-depth Sino-Cambodian vocational education collaboration in cultural tourism.
